3.1.6 Lifting the mast to the
‘first stop’ position
1)
Before lifting mast, make sure the position of the remote control for the compressor is
off.

The mast can be hoisted up by turning the winch handle in a clockwise direction.

If the winch operator is having difficulty operating the winch, it may need to be
greased. See the maintenance section below.
4)
The „first stop position‟ is when the mast has been raised by about 30 degrees from the
horizontal by means of the winch.
5)
At this point, the winch operator should pause the hoisting for a few seconds to allow
the next steps to be completed.
