1. Switch on the Oxy2 and check it according to the Oxy2 manual.
2. Switch on the Aladin
®
Air Z O
2
manually by bridging the contacts B and E
with moistened fingers. Check test display: are all displays lit?
3. Check transmission from Oxy2 to dive computer. Compare the display of
the Oxy2 with the Aladin ® Air Z O
2
values after
approx. 10 seconds. The O
2
%-values of the Aladin ®
Air Z O
2
are rounded to 1%.
4. Flush the SCR and compare the O
2
% of the lower display with the O
2
% of your
premix. See also page 53.
5. The Aladin Aladin ® Air Z O
2
is now in the ready-mode.
It switches on automatically on being submerged in water and activates dive-
mode, when a depth of more than 0.5 metre is reached. The depth indication
may be delayed for a few seconds.
To correctly calculate the workload the Aladin Aladin ® Air Z O
2
needs to know
the maximum of the expected O
2
consumption rat supported by the SCR in its
current setup. The default value is 2.5 litres/min. To change the value use
DataTalk (see page 106).
