The TW1m modem features a GPS receiver for positioning applications. An external active GPS antenna is
required for the receiver. Do not use a passive GPS antenna!
The TW1m modem does not have an integrated TETRA antenna. Therefore, a connector for an external antenna is
provided. A combined TETRA/GPS antenna can also be used.
Audio and the majority of the control signals are routed straight from the system connectors to the TH1n side
connector flex.
These may be connected to external devices in all cases regardless of the MAB-1 operation mode. Operations on
these signals are determined by TH1n.
Data signals are routed to the RS-232 transceiver by default. Connecting the USB_VBUS voltage of 5V routes
these signals via USB. These ports may not be used simultaneously.
For data signals, the MAB-1 operation may be split into three operating modes. These are described in chapter
Operating modes .

