SAFETY AGAINST OPENING AND CLOSING OF BOOMS
The spray boom features a safety system to prevent the arms from opening or closing when the spray
boom is adjusted to the transport height. This is provided by the hydraulic valve through a wheel
mechanism. The hydraulic valve with an integrated wheel travels along the guide. The shape of the
guide is designed to activate and release the oil flow through the hydraulic valves and into the control
valves for opening, closing and levelling of the spray boom.
Until the spray boom reaches the appropriate height or its position is too low to activate the wheel
mechanism, the hydraulic valve prevents the arms from opening and you can only operate the
hydraulic lift cylinder on the sprayer.
