Chapter 3
TRIGger
The TRIGger command subsystem controls the triggering operation of
Form C switch modules in a switchbox.
Subsystem Syntax
TRIGger
[:IMMediate]
:SOURce <source>
:SOURce?
TRIGger[:IMMediate]
TRIGger[:IMMediate]
causes a trigger event to occur when the defined trigger
source is TRIGger:SOURce BUS or TRIGger:SOURce HOLD.
Comments
Executing TRIGger[:IMMediate]
: Before TRIGger[:IMMediate] will execute, a
channel list must be defined with [ROUTe:]SCAN <channel_list> and an
INITiate[:IMMediate] must be executed
BUS or HOLD Source Remains:
If selected, TRIGger:SOURce BUS or
TRIGger:SOURce HOLD remains in effect after triggering a switchbox with
TRIGger[:IMMediate].

Example
Advancing Scan Using TRIGger
This example uses TRIGger[:IMMediate] to advance the scan of a
single-module switchbox from channel 00 through 03. Since
TRIGger:SOURce HOLD is set, the scan is advanced one channel
each time TRIGger is executed.
