Revision A Installation and Configuration

Sampling frequencies available in the Acquisition Setup
portion of the method will reflect the Base Frequency
selected.

Range

For each channel used, select the button next to the signal
range for the detector connected to that channel.

Information

This area is for information only. It contains
manufacturing information about the interface box that
may be required in service situations. If the box is not
recognized, the “Connection Status” field will display “Not
Connected”.

When the dialog is completed, click OK.

Testing the AIC

1.

From a client PC, start the data system software and
choose

File > New> Instrument

from the main menu.

2.

Select the

File > Configure > Instrument

menu item.

3.

In the dialog that appears, press the button next to the

Server

edit field. Ensure that you can browse to and

select the AIC. If not, the AIC is not logged properly onto
the network and you need to check the instructions from
”Setup IP Address” to “Add the AIC to the Domain”.

4.

Specify an

Instrument Name

and

Instrument Type

. Click

the

Configure

button.

5.

Complete the configuration of the instrument according to
the instructions for the type of instrument hardware you
have.

6.

Double click on the instrument icon you just created to
connect the data system to the hardware. If you get an
error connecting to the AIC, check the instructions from
“Run DCOMServerSettings” through “Data System
Enterprise Settings”.
