The ParBERT Modules
The ParBERT modules are divided into:
•
Clock modules
•
Data generator/analyzer modules
•
Special modules
Clock Modules
A clock module generates the system master clock and distributes it to all
the data modules of the system. If expander mainframes are used, the
clock modules of the expander mainframes are connected as slaves to the
master clock module.
Only clock modules of the same type can be connected in master-slave
configuration.
A clock module can generate the master clock from its built-in oscillator
or from an external clock source.
The following clock modules are supported:
•
E4805B clock module
•
E4808A high performance clock module
•
E4809A 13.5 GHz clock module
