Hardware Installation

Installation

Connect the MSD power cord to an appropriate AC outlet.

Loosen the sideplate thumbscrews completely (shown in

) and open the analyzer.

7

Remove the interface column nut and blank ferrule from the
end of the GC/MSD interface.

8

Install the column in the GC/MSD interface. See the 5973N or
5973 inert MSD Hardware Manual for more information.

C A U T I O N

Opening the analyzer with either sideplate thumbscrew tight will
irreparably damage the baseplate. Damage of this type is not covered
