With wire elevator connecting rod in
place
, slide stab in fuse slot and leave the right
side of the center section wood exposed. Apply a
small amount of epoxy to the right side top and
bottom of the stab. Then slide the stab through
the fuse to the exposed left side center section
and apply epoxy to top and bottom left side.
Then center the stab in the fuse and align with
pencil lines on stab covering.
18. Use alcohol wetted pads to wipe away excess
epoxy on top and bottom of each side of the stab.
Be sure to remove any finger prints anywhere on
the covering material.
19. View from tail and ensure stab is parallel with
wing.
20. As before, measure from the inside of the wing
tip to the trailing edge of the stab tip on both left
and right side. Ensure that both left and right
side measurements are equal with the stab still
centered in the fuse before the epoxy cures.
