GENERAL NOTES
• Disconnect the power supply and wait 5 minutes
before cleaning the unit.
• Disconnect the power supply when the air
conditioner is off.
• Do not pour water directly to the unit may cause
an electrical shock.
• Clean the cabinet with a soft, dry cloth or a cloth
slightly dampened with water or detergent (do
not use solvents).
• Do not use benzine, benzene, thinners or other
chemical products or liquid insecticides on the
unit, as these substances can cause scaling of the
paint and the deformation or breakage of plastic
parts.
• Clean the dirty part of the panel with a cloth
moistened in lukewarm water (less than 40°C).
Do not pour water directly onto the unit, as this
may damage the electrical circuit.
• Use a vacuum cleaner or soft brush to clean the
grille.
CLEANING THE AIR FILTER
The air filter must be checked and cleaned at least
every 250 hours of operation, and more often if
necessary.
Removing the air filter:
1. Remove the condensate drip tray.
2. Grasp the edge of the filter and remove it
downwards and towards the outside.
Cleaning the air filter:
1. Use a vacuum cleaner.
2. If it is very dirty, use a neutral detergent and water.
3. Dry the filter without exposing it to direct sunlight.
4. Replace the filter when it is dry.
Reinstalling the air filter
1. Replace the filter.
NOTES:
• do not clean with hot water
• do not dry over a flame
• Do not operate the air conditioner without the
air filter.
• Do not use brushes or tools drives.
CLEANING THE CONDENSATE DRIP TRAY
It is recommended to clean the condensate drip tray
regularly to prevent the formation of mould, germs
and bacteria.
Removing the tray:
1.
Remove the condensate drip tray.
2.
Remove the handle according to the following
instructions:
• Turn the handle until the locking handle is in its
seat; press down on the outside of the hook in
order to remove the handle (see figure A).
3.
Pry it up in order to release the hooks that retain
the drain cover.
4.
Lift and remove the drain cover (see figure B).
Cleaning the tray:
1.
Clean the condensate drip tray using water and a
soft brush.
2.
Rinse and dry carefully.
3.
Reposition the drain cover and the handle inside
the condensate drip tray.
NB: make sure that the float is positioned
correctly. If not, reposition it manually as
explained in the paragraph “controls to
perform before starting-up”.
4.
Reposition the condensate drip tray.
