3.1.5.2.2. DIRECT SIP.
Submenu for configuring IP communication when you have a connection with SIP protocol in
the signaling phase prior to connection but without the presence of an external SIP server. SIP
signaling will take care, once the remote unit has been identified by its IP address and has been
reached, of the negotiation of encoding profiles and the communication establishment/cut from
any of both ends.

In the Net X STATUS menu, when “DIRECT SIP” is selected in MODE field, the following
options are shown (NOTE: The fields that appear in italics cannot be modified, and they are
shown as additional information with no editing option available here):

URI: SIP identifier of the equipment in question. This identifier is
“<unit_name>@<unit_IP_address>” type ( for instance,
“[email protected]”).
When the correspondent SIP port is not the 5060 (SIP Standard port) the identifier must
include the used port. For instance: “[email protected]:5061”.
This field can be modified by pressing ADVANCED in this screen and accessing to
USER submenu.

RTP Statistics: this option provides information regarding RTP communication status
when it is established (buffer and jitter size, number of sent/received packets, number of
lost packets, number of errors…).

ADVANCED menu for DIRECT SIP.
The ADVANCED option associated with the fourth contextual button in the lower part of the
screen allows you to access the advanced configuration of the IP options of the Phoenix
STRATOS unit, where you can configure the following parameters for DIRECT SIP working
