In the case of NETBOX 8, NETBOX 32 and NETBOX DSP there are 2 additional options:
-
"Redundant-control-only-primary"
(for firmware version 4.0.4.22 or
higher): This option configures the
devices as redundant but the control of
the unit at local level (by means of
"NetBox Tool" application) can be
accomplished only through primary
network. When the configuration of a
device is changed from this option to
"Redundant" (or vice versa) you must press the "Refresh" button after rebooting the
unit in order to get the information correctly shown.
-
"Primary&Control" (for firmware version 4.0.9.2 or higher): This option separates
Dante primary network and local control network (the one associated to "NetBox
Tool" application). The first one is accesed only through upper Ethernet port and the
second one through lower Ethernet port. In this case there is no Dante secondary
network.
In the case of SYSTEL IP 16 there are 4 options available:
-
"Redundant": This option configures
the devices as redundant (LAN1 gives
access to Dante primary network and
LAN2 to the secondary one) and the
control of the unit at local level can be
accomplished through any of them. The
third port (WAN) is used for VoIP SIP
signalling calls.
-
"AoIP_LAN/WAN": This option configures the devices as redundant (LAN1 gives
access to Dante primary network and LAN2 to the secondary one) and the control
of the unit at local level can be accomplished only through the third port (WAN), that
is also used for VoIP SIP signalling calls.
-
"AoIP_LAN_WAN": The port LAN1 gives access to Dante primary network, the port
LAN2 allows you to control of the unit at local level and the port WAN is used for
VoIP SIP signalling calls. In this case there is no Dante secondary network.
-
"Redundant primary only control": This option configures the devices as
redundant (LAN1 gives access to Dante primary network and LAN2 to the
secondary one) and the control of the unit at local level can be accomplished only
through LAN1. The port WAN is used for VoIP SIP signalling calls.
In the case of OLYMPIA 3, when it's set to "Redundant", the primary interface is the one
printed as "PoE" and the secondary one is the upper port of the double connector (the
lower port is not operative in this case). In addition, there is a thrid option,
"USER_VIDEO", that works the same way as Redundant option but the lower port of the
double connector can be used to connect an auxiliary equipment to the network (IP video
monitor, PC, etc). Regarding the control of the unit at local level, it can be accomplished
through any of the 3 ports, except on "Redundant" mode where the lower port of the
double connector is not operative for control purposes.
•
"Addresses": Dante devices obtain IP addresses automatically by default, and in the vast
majority of circumstances there is no need to change the Addresses settings. However,
static IP addresses can be assigned if necessary.
To assign a static IP address:
1. Select "Manually configure an IP Address" for the appropriate Ethernet port.
2. Enter the IP Address and Netmask.
3. Click Apply.
