6.4 Sample probe
From the Diagnostics menu, select
Sample Probe
to
open the Sample Probe diagnostics screen (Figure 44).
You are prompted to test a sample of deionized water;
the test results display in Ohms on this screen.
NOTE:
The result should be close in value to the Sample
Probe Resistance value set in “Adjusting probe
resistance” on page 29.
Test progress shows in the indicator while the test is in
progress.
Tap
Exit
to return to the Diagnostics menu.

6.5 Barcode
From the Diagnostics menu, select
Barcode
to open the
Barcode diagnostics screen (Figure 45).
To test if the barcode scanner is working properly, place
any barcode of a supported type a few inches in front of
the barcode scanner. If successful, the system beeps and
the barcode information displays on screen.
Tap
Exit
to return to the Diagnostics menu.

6.6 Events
From the Diagnostics menu, select
Events
to open the
Events log (Figure 46).
An “event” is defined as any action that occurs with the
instrument, including but not limited to:
•
System errors
•
Settings changes
•
User added or deleted
•
Power up
•
Controls added or deleted
•
Calibration results
•
Consumables box (Micro-Sample Test Kit) not placed
correctly
You can scroll or navigate through the Events log using
the icons at the top of the screen, create a filter to
narrow to events of interest, and/or export the events in
the .cvs file format.
NOTE:
For more information about navigating, sorting,
and filtering this type of list,
refer to the Osmo1 User
Guide (133005UG).
The database can store 10,000 events before the system
begins to overwrite the oldest entry with new ones.

to return to the Diagnostics menu.
