5.5 Setting date and time
The current date and time are set at the factory before
the unit ships. During initial setup, you might need to
change the date and time to suit the site.
NOTE:
The Osmo1 displays the date and time under the
“Osmometer Ready” banner. Look there to see if
the timestamp is set correctly for the site.
In addition, you might need to adjust the date and time
in other circumstances (for example, going on/off
daylight savings time, after a power outage, etc.).
To change the date and time:
1.
From the Settings menu, tap
Date & Time
.
The system prompts you to log in.
2.
Select the
Admin
user and enter the appropriate
password.
The Date & Time screen opens (Figure 27).

3.
On the Date & Time screen, set the date and time to
the correct values.
4.
If desired, select the appropriate options for the
site’s preferred date and time format.
5.
Tap
Save
to save the changes.
6.
Tap
Exit
to return to the Settings menu.
NOTE:
If the system detects unsaved changes, it asks
if you want to save changes before exiting.
5.6 Setting language
The language is set at the factory before the unit ships.
You might need to change the settings to suit the site.
To change the language:
1.
From the Settings menu, tap
Language
.
The system prompts you to log in.
2.
Select the
Admin
user and enter the appropriate
password.
The Language screen opens (Figure 28).

3.
On the Language screen, make the appropriate
selection and then tap
Save
.
4.
Tap
Exit
to return to the Settings menu.
NOTE:
If the system detects unsaved changes, it asks
if you want to save changes before exiting.
5.
Power off the Osmo1 and wait 10 seconds; then
power on the instrument.
NOTE:
This step is required for the language change
to take affect.
5.7 Setting up user accounts
Service technicians can use the default Admin account
for any tasks that require login.
