For basic dial backup operation, these parameters do not need to be altered from their default val-
ues. The

AIL

IMER

programs the amount of time the IQ 710 will wait once any of the DBU Crite-

ria have been met before entering dial backup. Once the Frame Relay link has been reestablished
on the network line, the

ESTORE

IMER

sets the amount of time the IQ 710 will wait before dis-

connecting the dial backup call. The

EDIAL

OUNTER

programs the number of redial attempts per-

formed if dial backup is not established on the first call.

AIT

EDIAL

defines the amount of

time between redial attempts.
