Troubleshooting
The Troubleshooting Screen (see
), which is
accessed by selecting
4
at the Adtran NIU3 Main Menu,
provides guidelines in correcting problems detected by
the NIU3. The Troubleshooting Screen includes a
graphic showing the NIU3 and the status of its inter-
faces. The following T3 Receiver data are also shown:
DS3 Signal state, Framing, dBdsx Level, and RX
Frequency Lock warnings. Lastly, the following Perfor-
mance Parameters are shown accumulated in 15-
minute, 24-hour, and 30-day intervals: LOS (Loss of
Signal), LOF (Loss of Framing), AIS (Alarm Indication
Signal), BPV (Bipolar Violations), and Far End Errors.
From the Troubleshooting Screen, it is possible to make
the following selections:
• Receive Guidance in problem resolution
• Clear the Performance Monitoring information
• Clear the Alarm History
• View Performance History
The Guidance Screen is unique to the Troubleshooting
Screen.
