Functional Description

3.8

Hardware Monitor

The IT8712F chip monitors several critical hardware parameters,
including system and CPU voltages and temperatures. All hard-
ware status information can be viewed and configured through the
BIOS menu, and run-time utilities. Once the preset thresholds of
hardware conditions reach critical limits, the IT8712F alerts or
resets the system.

3.9

PCI Resource Allocation

The single PCI bus on the cPCI-3915 platform and the IDSEL,
INT#, and REQ#/GNT# routings of the cPCI-Bus slots on back-
plane follow standard definitions, where the interrupt controller is
the onboard Intel® ICH6-M on board. Table 3.1 lists the PCI
resource allocation.
