confirm it as a new reference quantity. As a further increase in the accuracy, you can now place 100
parts on the scale and confirm it as a reference quantity of the scale.

Each step optimizes the average piece weight, thereby increasing the accuracy in piece counting.

Piece counting without container

After the reference quantity is set, press

 so that

appears in the display. Unless part weights

are stored in the indicator, you can also call up the average piece weight (APW) from the CLU memory.

Then place the number of parts to be weighed on the weighing platform.

The display shows the total number of pieces, e.g.

It  is  possible  to  add  successive  piece  counts.  To  do  this,  press  the

M+

  key  after  each  counting

procedure.

To return to the weighing mode, press the

 key.

The last used APW is saved for the next piece count.

Counting pieces in a container

To perform  piece counting  in  a container, place the empty container  on the scale and tare  using the

 key. The display shows

 and

 appears.

If  the  auto  tare  function  is  enabled,  pressing  the

key  is  not  necessary  because  the  scale

automatically tares the container if it is placed on the weighing platform.

Now place the parts to be counted into the container. The indicator shows only the number of parts in
the container in the display.

Counting pieces when removing from a container

In weighing mode, place the full container with the parts on the weighing platform and press the

key. The display shows

 and

 appears.

If necessary, you can enter the reference quantity now. To do this, proceed as described above. Unless
part weights are stored in the indicator, you can also call up the average piece weight (APW) from the
CLU memory.

Press  the

key  to  enter  piece  counting  mode.  Remove  the  desired  number  of  parts  from  the

container. The indicator now shows the number of pieces removed with a minus sign in the display.

Press the

key for a further count of removed pieces.

To return to the weighing mode, press the

 key.

Sum function in piece counting mode

The indicator has a sum function, with which successive counts can be summed up. Place the parts to
be counted onto the weighing platform. Once the scale is stable and the

 icon disappears, press the

M+

key. The indicator adds the current value of the piece count to the total count value. The display first

shows the total number of counts and then the total count value.

This process can be repeated any number of times (up to 999 times) by pressing the M+ key. After each
summing operation, the display shows the number of counts and then the total value respectively.

By pressing the MR key, the total value will be called up and displayed.

To print the total value, press the

key as soon as the total value is displayed.

To delete the total value, press the

MC

key and confirm the security query [CLEAr] with
