By pressing the
MR
key, first the number of weighings and then the total weight for each are displayed
for about two seconds.
For print initialization of the total weight, press the
key as soon as the total weight is displayed.
To delete the total weight, press the
MC
key and confirm the security query [CLEAr] with

Piece counting
Note: The function can only be called up when one of the two programmable multi-function keys (2) (7)
has been assigned the piece counting function (see page 21). Further description is carried out based
on the multi-function key recommended for this function
.
The indicator has a piece counting function.
Press the
key to enter piece counting mode. The display shows the use of the piece counting mode
as indicated by
.
The indicator uses the most recently calculated average piece weight (APW).
The value of the average piece weight (APW) can be gradually improved during operation.
Entering the reference quantity
During piece counting, the scale weighs a certain number of parts and determines the average piece
weight (APW) by dividing the weight by the number of placed pieces (reference quantity).
By using the calculated average piece weight (APW), piece counting is performed.
The following diagram shows the procedure:
Perform the input of the reference quantity very carefully to get the correct count.
Switch on the indicator with an unloaded weighing platform. Then press the
key for more than one
second to enter piece counting mode. The display now shows the reference quantity [10] or the last
selected reference quantity. The value indicates the number of parts to be loaded. If the parts to be
weighed are very small or have only a small individual weight, a piece count with higher resolution is
needed for accurate results. By pressing the navigation keys ▲ or ▼, the reference quantity can be set
at 1, 5, 20, 30, 50 or 100 pieces.
A reference quantity of 20 is displayed as follows:
Place the number of the selected reference quantity on the scale and confirm with the
key. The
display first shows the flashing ------ and thereafter the average piece weight (APW) for about 2 seconds.
Thereafter, the number of loaded parts is displayed.
Optimizing the average piece weight APW
Large reference quantities provide greater accuracy in piece counting. However, large reference
quantities cannot simply be counted manually.
To this end, the indicator provides a function for optimizing the average piece weight. This is highly
recommended for faster and more accurate piece counts with larger reference quantities.
Optimization can be done as follows:
Start counting pieces with a small reference quantity, e.g. 10 parts, as described above. In a second
step, count twice the number of the reference quantity, 20 parts here, and confirm it again as a new
reference quantity as described above. In a third step, place the missing 50 parts on the scale and
