1 Place the conduits, cables, ground rod(s), and ground wire(s) as indicated in the engineering work prints.
Position the conduits horizontally to accommodate four 4-inch conduits. If fewer than four conduits are used,
install those closest to the center of the template first.
2 Place a ring ground system around the proposed foundation pad location according to local practices and
building safety codes.
3 Lay the SPX-CABFIN cabinet template on the ground over the conduits, and slip the conduits (or cables) into
the hole(s) for the cable entry box(es) to locate their positions.
4 Construct the concrete form as shown in Figure 4
Refer to the template label for dimensions.
5 Lay the power transfer cabinet template (if used) over the conduits, in one corner of the pad, to locate the
corner as shown in
Figure 5 on page 8 .
