Advanced Configurations and Cabling

Advanced Configurations – DuraStor 7320SS

RAID – 24-Drive Configuration

The DuraStor 7320SS can be setup to provide up to a 24 disk drive
storage solution. In this configuration you will attach a
DuraStor 412R to the primary RAID enclosure which will extend
the drive channels (12 drives per channel).

Remove the SAF-TE disk I/O card installed in both enclosures.

Replacing an I/O Card

for instructions.

Locate the switches on each card and set them as shown in

The switch settings assign specific SCSI IDs to the drive slots as
indicated, and reserve IDs 6 and 7 for the RAID Controller(s)
and IDs 8 or 15 for the SAF-TE processors.
