ABOUT ACORN CONTROLS
Past and Present
Acorn Engineering
Company has been
manufacturing valves
for plumbing fixtures in our
North American manufacturing
facilities since the introduction of
Auto-Cloz, Single-Trol and Safti-Trol
valves in 1969.
Throughout the next five decades, Acorn
continued to introduce valves like the
Penal-Trol line for institutional applica-
tions; Master-Trol, an electronic water
management system that allows facilities
to precisely control and monitor water
usage; and several generations of
Air-Control and Flood-Trol valves. In 2013,
Acorn introduced the Acorn Controls
product line, a new generation of thermo-
static mixing valves that manage single
fixtures, multiple fixtures, or whole
building water systems. Acorn is proud
to continue its track record of providing
valves while updating the product line
with state of-the-art technology that keeps
people safe.
Acorn Engineering Company
was founded in 1954
by Earl L. Morris, who
wanted to manufacture the type
of specified products he most enjoyed
selling at his manufacturer’s representative
company, the Earl L. Morris Company. As
Acorn grew, a number of companies and
partnerships were acquired, and in 2012, a
new parent company was formed—Morris
Group International (MGI).
Today, Morris Group International is
made up of 25 divisions and partnerships
manufacturing products. Our products
come out of our manufacturing facilities in
North America ready to meet the needs of
any construction or building project.
With over 75 patents and thousands of
products, Morris Group International has
over 1,600 employees and over 2 million
square feet of office, warehouse and
manufacturing space worldwide.
