Maintenance
Safety: Disconnect and lock the main switch on the control unit during inspection,
servicing and cleaning. Always remember to remount shielding after service and before
reconnecting power.
Wear a dust mask when cleaning with a brush.
When starting up a new system or following repairs/reconstruction of an existing system, the feed wire
or feed chain will normally stretch after a while. Therefore, pay special attention to the wire and check
the items marked in the “After start-up” column regularly (every 2-3 weeks).

Wire
Check wire for wear and damaged threads X
Check plastic plate for wear X
Check and tighten wire joint X X
Check wire tension. Shorten, if necessary X X
Chain
Check chain for wear X
Check plastic plates for wear X
Check joint link for wear X
Check chain tension. Shorten, if necessary X X
Feed bends
Check for jarring sounds (scraping or wheezing sounds) X X
Open and clean feed bends using a brush X
Check inner wheel bearings for looseness X
Check inner wheel for wear X
Loading hopper
Clean loading hopper on the inside using a brush
X
Clean gear motor using a brush X
Check gear motor for oil spillage X
Tighten clamp on coupling hose X
Check for impurities at the remover arm X
Check bearing on remover axle X
Drive unit
Clean drive station on the inside using a brush X
Check tightening wheel for looseness – must run freely
X
Check drive wheel for marks X
Demount drive wheel and check whether drive wheel runs freely on the axle X
Check movement of wire break switch arms X
Check movement of wire break and cover switch X
Check and adjust V-belt tension X
Check V-belt for wear, replace if necessary X
Clean gear using a brush X
Check gear for oil spillage X
Clean motor using a brush, after removing blower coating X
