11. APPLIANCE MAINTENANCE
11.1 ROUTINE MAINTENANCE TO BE
PERFORMED BY THE USER
It is recommended that the following operations
be carried out at the beginning of each heating
season and then at least once every month
during operation:
WARNING! The operations described in
points a) and b) must be performed while the
air heater is not functioning, and with the
gas and electric supplies turned off.
a) check that the external terminal of the intake/
exhaust duct is not obstructed or that the
relative material has deteriorated
b) clean the external parts of the air heater
simply by using a damp cloth and use a brush
to remove any dust deposits on the air intake
grille
c)
make sure that the operation of the appliance
is normal, as described in
point 10.3.
11.2 ANNUAL AIR HEATER INSPECTION
To reduce possible failures to a minimum and to
keep the air heater operating at peak efficiency,
it is recommended that a general inspection of
the air heater be carried out at least once a year
by skilled personnel.
