check that the unit is undamaged
and securely fixed to its mounting
location, and that the air inlet fins
(Fig. 1, II) are completely free of
foreign bodies.
To ensure the continued functional
readiness of the alarm, the unit
should be maintained as described in
DIN 14676 at least once per year.
To do this, proceed as follows:
• Dust the unit if necessary with a
damp cloth; remove any contami-
nation with a damp cloth. Do not
use detergent.
OPERATING LIFE OF THE DEVICE
The maximum service life and the
intended service life of the device is
not more than 12 years. These 12 years
can be divided into a typical service
life of 10 years plus a maximum
further 2 years service life/energy
reserve for the product. You should
replace the unit after this period.
