5. Safety information
5.1 General
Warning

The wireless smoke alarm device does not detect gas, steam, heat or fire/flames. Detectors with
special sensors are required for this.

People with hearing impairments may not be able to hear the alarm. Special alarms with optical
signalisation are available for such cases.

Wireless smoke alarm devices help save lives. Therefore, for safety's sake, you should regularly
test the battery and the operation of the detector. For day-to-day use, remember that the wireless
smoke alarm device cannot prevent fires but simply provides warning in the event of such a fire.
For your own safety, please replace the wireless smoke alarm device every 10 years at the latest.
