1 Identification
The wire feeding system MFS-V2 is used in industry and the trade for the delivery of the welding filler
materials. It consists of E-Box and M-Drive. The E-Box contains all electronic control elements. The M-Drive
integrates the 4-roll drive for the wire delivery. Its modular design allows an individual mechanical and
electronic adjustment via I/O or digital BUS systems. These operating instructions only describe the wire
feeding system
MFS-V2 . The wire feeding system MFS-V2 may only be operated using original
ABICOR BINZEL spare parts.
1.1 EU Declaration of Conformity
according to EC Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC, Annex III.
We, Alexander Binzel Schweisstechnik GmbH & Co. KG, Kiesacker 7-9, 35418 Alten-Buseck
hereby declare that, on the basis of its design and construction, the wire feeding system MFS-V2 described
in these operating instructions complies with the basic safety and health requirements of the EC directive.
Any modification not not approved by Alexander BINZEL will void this declaration.
1.2 Responsibilities of the User
Within the EEA (European Economic Area) the current version of the national implementation of the
Framework Directive (89/391/EEC) and the related individual directives and, of these, especially Directive
(89/655/EEC) concerning the minimum safety and health requirements for the use of work equipment by
workers at work must be adhered to. In Germany, the Job Protection Law and the Company Safety
Ordinance must be heeded. In addition, the operator must ensure that the welding torch and welding unit
comply with the EC EMC Directive (89/336/EEC) and that the signal utilization of the integrated welding
current monitoring against stray currents is installed properly.
2 Product Description
2.1 Designated Use
The wire feeding system MFS-V2 forms part of the ABICOR BINZEL Master Feeder System and is
intended for robot use. Designated use also includes the observance of the prescribed operating,
maintenance and servicing conditions.
2.2 Use contrary to the designated use
Any use other than that described under "Designated Use" is considered contrary to the designated use.
Unauthorized conversions or power increase modifications are not allowed. The warranty does not cover
wearing parts and damage due to overloading or improper use.
