6 Handle control elements

Insert the wire into the wire feed unit as specified by the manufacturer.

Press the “zero-current wire feed” trigger on the wire feeder until the wire
emerges from the contact tip.
6 Handle control elements
The trigger’s two-cycle mode can be activated when using a standard welding
torch. Further operating modes and handle modules depend on the welding
power source and must be ordered separately
.
6.1 Two-cycle trigger function

Press and hold the trigger on the handle = start welding.

Release the trigger = stop welding.
7 Operation

Open the shielding gas cylinder.

Switch on the power source.

Set the welding parameters.

Start welding.
8 Putting out of operation

Stop welding.

Wait until the shielding gas post-flow time has passed.

Switch off the power source.

Close the valve on the shielding gas cylinder.
NOTICE
• The welding torch must only be operated by qualified personnel
(in Germany, see TRBS 1203).
• Please also consult the operating instructions for the welding
components, welding power source and welding torch.
NOTICE
• When putting the system out of operation, ensure that the procedures for
switching off each of the welding system components are observed.
• As liquid-cooled cable assemblies start to leak when they overheat, the
coolant recirculator should continue running for approx. 5 min. after
welding.
