W 9 Maintenance and cleaning
9.1 Cleaning the cable assembly


1 Disconnect the cable assembly (2) from the machine and lay it down
straight.
2 Unscrew the nut.
3 Pull the liner (3) or PA liner (5) out of the wire conduit and replace if
necessary.
4 Remove wear parts from the torch neck (1) .
5 Clean the wire conduit from both sides with compressed air.
6 Mount the cleaned or replaced wear parts in the reverse order.
7 Remount the liner (3) or PA liner (5) .
8 Re-attach the cable assembly (2) .
NOTICE
• The specified maintenance intervals are standard values and refer to
single-shift operation.
• Maintenance and cleaning work must only be carried out by qualified
personnel (in Germany, see TRBS 1203).
• Check the coolant hoses, seals and connectors for damage or leaks and
replace if necessary.
• Always wear your personal protective equipment when performing
maintenance and cleaning work.
• Remove any adhering weld spatter.
• Ensure that all threaded fittings are tight.
WARNING
Risk of injury
Serious injuries can be caused by parts swirling around.
• When cleaning the wire guide with compressed air, wear suitable
protective clothing, in particular safety goggles.
NOTICE
• Replace any damaged, deformed or worn parts.
