Entries in engine logbook 

By monitoring the engine, conclusions can be drawn about the 

turbocharger performance. 

The following operating data and measured values must be entered 

regularly in the engine manufacturer's engine logbook: 

  Engine performance and speed 

  Air intake temperature 

  Exhaust gas temperature in front of and behind the turbine 

  Pressure of charge air 

  Pressure drop in charge air cooler 

  Lubricating oil pressure and lubricating oil temperature 

 

  Air temperature behind compressor and charge air cooler 

  Turbocharger speed 

  Pressure loss in air filter 

 

Servicing work according to the engine manufacturer's instructions 

 

  Clean or replace oil filter in supply line to turbocharger when engine is 

not running.
