Guidelines for planning the mechanical
installation

Contents of this chapter

This chapter guides in planning drive cabinets and installing the drive module into a
user-defined cabinet. The chapter gives cabinet layout examples and free space requirements
around the module for cooling. These guidelines are essential for the safe and trouble-free
use of the drive system.

Installation positions of the drive module

The drive module must be installed in an upright bookshelf position in a cabinet.
