4.1.11. Communication mode of the COM1 serial interface

The serial port of the central unit may be used in different modes:

Programming mode to program and test the central unit

ASCII mode for communicating between the central unit and another ASCII device

MODBUS® for communicating between the central unit and another MODBUS

device.

To use one of these communication modes you must:

Configure the serial interface by selecting one of the proposed parameters in the

configuration window

Know the position of the RUN/STOP button

Use the right cable:

- For programming : 07 SK 50 or 07 SK 52
- For ASCII / MODBUS

: 07 SK 51 or 07 SK 53
