The Device Menu

Name

: Enter the first letter/s of the name. Then select the desired entry 

from the list displayed. 

Delete

: The entry is deleted.

Edit

: Overwrite and/or add to the current entry information. The procedure 

is identical to the one described in the “New entry” section on 
page 107. 

System menu: “Applications”

This menu is only shown if the system administrator has set up additional pro-
gramme packages for your communications system and you have the user author-
isation to use these programmes.

Voice box

: This menu is only shown if the system administrator has installed the 

additional programme package 

OpenVoice

 and configured a voicebox for 

you. 

Voicebox mess.

 (voicebox messages): You see the list of received voicebox 

messages and can listen to them and edit them (please refer to 
“Voicebox messages” starting on page 97). 

Call voicebox

: You call your voicebox. The next steps are voice-controlled. 

Please refer to the user guide of the 

OpenVoice

 voicebox programme for 

detailed information. 

Server menu

: Your communications system can also be extended via third-

party programmes. It is possible to use individual functions of these 
programmes with your system terminal. The menu entry

 will be offered to you in this case. Contact your system 

administrator if you have questions.

System menu “Central settings”

In the menu 

Central settings

 you can define rules and settings for the time man-

agement of your system. The 

Time control

 menu entry is available if the user 

group of your telephone has been granted “Time Control” authorisation by the 
system administrator. The 

Date / Time

 menu entry is available if the user group of 

your telephone has been granted “Configurator - Expert” authorisation by the 
system administrator. If you do not have any of these authorisations the 

Central 

settings

 menu will not be displayed.

Time control

: In the Aastra 800 / OpenCom 100 communications system several 

time groups can be configured. Depending on the activated time group, 
incoming calls are signalled on different terminals.
