1.
Startup and service must be performed by
a Factory Trained Service Technician.
2.
Use only with type of the gas approved
for the furnace. Refer to the furnace rating
plate.
3.
The unit is for outdoor use only. See
General Information section for more
information.
4.
Provide adequate combustion ventilatio n
air to the furnace. If a vent duct extension
is used, a class III approved vent is
required. See the Locating Units and Gas
Heating sections of the Installation
section of the manual.
5.
Always install and operate furnace within
the intended temperature rise range and
duct system external static pressure (ESP)
as specified on the unit nameplate.
Cleaning
the
cooling
tower
or
condenser water loop with harsh
chemicals such as hydrochloric acid
(muriatic acid), chlorine or other
chlorides, can damage the refrigerant-
to-water heat exchanger. Care must
be taken to avoid allowing chemicals
to enter the refrigerant-to-water heat
exchanger. See Appendix A - Heat
Exchanger Corrosion Resistance for
more information.
CAUTION
OPEN LOOP APPLICATIONS
Failure of the condenser as a result of
chemical corrosion is excluded from
coverage under AAON Inc. warranties
and
the
heat
exchanger
manufacturer’s warranties.
WARNING
WATER FREEZING
Failure of the condenser due to
freezing will allow water to enter the
refrigerant circuit and will cause
extensive damage to the refrigerant
circuit components. Any damage to
the equipment as a result of water
freezing in the condenser is excluded
from
coverage
under
AAON
warranties and the heat exchanger
manufacturer warranties.
WARNING
COMPRESSOR CYCLING
3 MINUTE MINIMUM OFF TIME
To
prevent
motor
overheating
compressors must cycle off for a
minimum of 3 minutes.
5 MINUTE MINIMUM ON TIME
To maintain the proper oil level
compressors must cycle on for a
minimum of 5 minutes.
The cycle rate must not exceed 7
starts per hour.
