Security
To use VRM you must login using a user name and password. The administrators of the system
control this process. The administrator also has control of assigning administrator privileges to
other users.
Non-administrator users are allowed to view information contained in case files but are not
allowed to make changes to case files unless they are specifically listed as an owner of the case.
This means they must be listed as one of the investigators.
VRM also tracks access activities. This feature is only available to administrators.
Items that are tracked include:

Login/Logout
2.
Opening new case
3.
Editing case information
4.
Export/Import

System Activity Monitoring
To view the “System Activity Monitor” window, you must be logged in with administrator
privileges.
To view the access and activity logs click
and select “System Activity”. The “System Activity
Monitor” window will track the last 10,000 changes.
Column headings are storable in ascending/descending order by clicking on the title.
Click
to save a copy of the data to a location of your choice. The saved file is in text
format and may be viewed with a simple text file viewer like notepad.
