7.0 Cable Preparation and Bonding
7.1
It is desirable to have 14 feet of cable extending above ground/pad.
7.2
Remove cable sheath 18" above ground/pad.
7.3
Install shield bond connectors and attach bond straps to all cables according to your company's practice.
Attach all bond straps to the cabinet bond plate at left side. Identify cable bonds on log label on cabinet door.
7.4
If moisture seals are required for the cables, put them on at this time. Follow the instructions that come with
the moisture seals.
8.0 Cable Termination
8.1
Break feeder and distribution cables into 100-pair groups. Route the groups up to the tie bar and to the
appropriate frame location according to the frame count.
8.2
Install the bottom frame support (not required with 4306).
8.3
Install the left-hand-side frame into the cabinet, rest the frame on the pivots and attach the safety cable to the
frame, or support the frame in a horizontal position by laying on a splicer's box.
