The following sections from here to the end of this installation guide apply equally
to MGCP, H.323, and SIP.
To prevent unauthorized access to the VCX V7111, it is recommended that you change the
username and password that are used to access the Embedded Web Server.
To change the username and password, follow these steps

Access the Embedded Web Server (see “Accessing the Embedded Web Server” on
page 31).

Open the ‘Change Password’ screen (
Advanced Configuration
menu >
Change
Password
); the ‘Change Password’ screen is displayed.

In the ‘User Name’ and ‘New Password’ fields, enter the new username and the new
password, respectively. Note that the username and password can be a maximum of 7
case-sensitive characters.

In the ‘Confirm Password’ field, reenter the new password.

Click the
Change Password
button; the new username and password are applied and
the ‘Enter Network Password’ screen appears, shown in Figure 16 on page 32.

Enter the updated username and password in the ‘Enter Network Password’ screen.
