Assigning the IP Address via the RS-232 Port

To assign an IP address via the RS-232, follow these steps

1

Connect the VCX V7111

RS-232 port to either COM1 or COM2 RS-232 communication

port on your PC with a standard RS-232 straight cable (not a cross-over cable) with DB-9
connectors.

Use a serial communication software (e.g., HyperTerminal

TM

) to connect to the VCX

V7111. Set your serial communication software to the following communications port
settings:
