The syntax of the Management Module’s download command is:
download module <slot#.01> filter <IP address> <filename>
In the syntax of the
download
command, the user must specify the type
of download (
filter
) and for which slot (
6.01
) the filter is destined even
though the filter is not transferred to that module slot at this point.

From the Management Module CLI prompt, the user connects to the
Multilayer Switching Module in slot 6 (subslot 01) and loads the filter
onto the Multilayer Switching Module using the
bridge packetFilter
load
command.
When you issue this command, the module does not prompt you for any
options. Instead, the module simply looks for the filter on the
Management Module. If it finds it, it loads it. If it does not find it, it prints
the message
Filter not found
.

4 Lastly, the user lists the loaded filters with the
bridge packetfilter
list
command and confirms the contents of the filter with the
bridge
packetfilter display
command.
