5 -­‐ USE OF THE MACHINE
5.1 First machine start and water
loading in the boiler (Fig.01)
The lack of water into the boiler could caused the damaging of the heating element.
Such damage is not covered by the warranty.
5.1.1) Remove the water tank lid (Fig. 01; pos.8) remove the water tank (Fig.4) and fill it with
potable water with suggested hardness of 15 French Degrees. Do not use tap hot water into
the water tank.
5.1.2) Put the water tank back in place and reinsert till the bottom of the tank the silicon
pipes. (Fig. 4)

5.1.4) Wire the machine to the main power through the cord
The following procedure must be applied when you prime the machine or after a
long stop period, in order to guaratee the right wather level into the boiler and
the heating element do not work dry.
5.1.5) Turn on the hot water/ steam knob, then push the brewing button(Fig.01;pos.9) and
the main switch (Fig.01; pos.14). The green and yellow light are on(Fig.01;pos. 13-­‐15).
5.1.6) When the water starts to flow from the water/ steam nozzle (Fig.01;pos.3), turn off the
knob (Fig. 5), then turn off the brewing button (Fig.01;pos.9).
5.1.7) Wait till the right temperature is reached. The yellow light turning off (Fig 01;pos. 15)
means that the heating element is not working.
To help worming the brewing group, make some brewing without any coffee into the filter,
pushing the brewing button (Fig.01; pos. 9). The optimal temperature is reached after around
5 minutes.
5.2 Powering the machine during normal operation
5.2.1) Wire the machine to the main power through the cord
5.2.2) Make sure that there is enough water in the tank
5.2.3) push the main switch (fig. 01, pos. 14). The green light will light up (fig.01;pos.13)
5.2.4) Wait for the machine to warm up until it reaches the proper temperature and heat the
group performing the operation described in paragraph 5.1.7.
