SAFETY INFORMATION:
We recommend tightening the screw during every inspection but at
least 1-2 times per year, since severe shocks may result in a loosen-
ing of the safety screw in exceptional cases.
PLEASE OBSERVE:
The safety screw is an important safety feature of the Cadillock
®
Alarm. To prevent the Cadillock
®
Alarm from being disassembled
during an attempted theft, the cable of the Cadillock
®
Alarm is
attached with the enclosed safety screw. It is nearly impossible to
remove the Cadillock
®
Alarm without the enclosed Allen wrench. The
safety screw as well as the Allen wrench are fabricated exclusively
for the Cadillock
®
line in various designs. Therefore please always
store the Allen wrench in a safe location.
If you often take your vehicle a considerable distance from your
main residence, we recommend taking the Allen wrench with you in
your luggage so that you will be able to remove the Cadillock
®
Alarm
in the event that your car battery has any technical fault.
Since an unexpected failure of the car battery may lead to inconven-
iences for the user if the Allen wrench is not immediately available,
the performance capacity of the car battery should be monitored
at regular intervals when the vehicle is protected against theft by
the Cadillock
®
Alarm. For this purpose, 2bfirst technologies, as
a licensing partner of ADAC, offers the
ADAC-Battwatch
(www.battwatch.com).
Step 4: Attaching the negative cable again
Place the negative cable of the car battery that was removed in the
first step back on the negative pole, place the black U clip ground
cable of the Cadillock
®
Alarm between the screw connections and
then tighten the screws of the negative cable again securely.
