When you have selected the most suitable installation point for the
Cadillock
®
Alarm main device and the alarm siren, please clean the
surface selected for the installation of the Cadillock
®
Alarm main
device and attach the four enclosed, double-sided adhesive tapes on
the back of the Cadillock
®
Alarm main device. We recommend
attaching all four adhesive tapes in order to secure the device in a
stable manner.
Please do not pull off
the top layer of these tapes
yet.
Step 1: Removing the negative cable
Now remove the negative cable on your car battery (black or
marked with the sign “–“). This ensures your safety by preventing
the creation of sparks during the installation of the Cadillock
®
Alarm.
PLEASE OBSERVE:
The removal of the negative cable can lead to data loss in electrical
devices (radio, CD player, board computer, etc.).
This data loss can be prevented by using a data back-up device. For
this purpose, 2bfirst technologies offers the Memo-Guard
(www.memo-guard.com).
Step 2: Attaching the positive cable to the Cadillock
®
Alarm
Now remove the vehicle’s positive cable (red or marked with the
sign “+”) from the battery connection point and attach this to the
pole of the Cadillock
®
Alarm.
Step 3: Attaching the positive cable of the Cadillock
®
Alarm
Place the positive cable of the Cadillock
®
Alarm on the positive pole
of the car battery and use the enclosed Allen wrench to securely
attach it with the safety screw, which has already been inserted into
the plastic cover of the battery connection cover. Please tighten this
safety screw.
