Follow your ISP’s instructions for where to enter the
initialization commands for your TA/V.34 or TA device.
For PPP connections, use the following initialization:
%A2=5%B39 S7=55
You will need to enter your provider’s phone number as well.
10.
If the software has a selection for tone or pulse dialing, select
tone dialing.
11.
If there is a way to enter a reset string for your TA/V.34 or TA
in the software, enter:
AT&F
Using ML-PPP Connections in Windows
3.1 or 3.11
Use the same setup as above, except that the initialization string should
be
%A2=6%B39 S7=55
Since ML-PPP uses two phone numbers to set up connections on both
B-channels, enter the two phone numbers separated by an ampersand
“&”. For example, if your provider’s two phone numbers are 555-1234
and 555-2345, you would enter:
5551234 & 5552345
Note that if both numbers are the same, you need to enter the same
number twice:
5551234 & 5551234
Note also that if you must make a long distance call for your
connection, both numbers must include the “1” prefix, and if the first
number requires an area code, so must the second. For example:
16175551234 & 16175552345
