ZOLL AED 3 Operation
Operating Controls and Indicators
This section describes the functions of the controls on the front of the
ZOLL AED 3 defibrillator.
ON/OFF Button
— Turns power ON or OFF.
When pressed and held for at least 5 seconds, the AED initiates a self test and
enters AED Management Mode.
Status Indicator Window
— Green check indicates that the AED passed its
last self test and is ready for use.
A blank window indicates that the AED has failed its self test and is not ready for
use.
Speaker
— Provides audio prompts and metronome beeps that direct rescuers
on what to do during a rescue; also provides audio prompts to indicate if service
is required.
Defibrillation Pad Connector
— This connector is used to attach defibrillation
pads to the AED.
