Edge Tx Filter.
When the RSTP protocol is executed, this parameter allows the user
to enable a filter that avoids the transmission of STP BPDU packets in the interfaces
operating in
edge
mode. This parameter is only effective when the operating state of
the interface is
edge
, and this situation is only possible when the
Edge
parameter is
configured as
on
or
auto
.
Switch interconnection
using interfaces with Edge at ON and
Edge_Tx_filter active
lead to switches
being unable to detect
the
connection as part of a loop.
