Installation location
We recommend that the ECU is located outside the protected area in close
proximity to the exit and to the extinguishant cylinders. If this is not possible, then
the above warning regarding impedance of the actuator line must be taken into
account. The control devices in the protective area, such as sounders, are
connected directly to the ECU.
WARNING:
The wiring connection to the extinguishant cylinder actuator is a low
impedance circuit which can draw up to 1 A during actuation. Make sure that
wiring to the actuator is of sufficient capacity to avoid wiring resistance voltage
loss.
The ECU is designed to be either surface mounted or recessed semi-flush into a
wall, as shown in Figure 7 below.
