Maintenance
Before starting any maintenance or cleaning, the device must always be
switched off at the main switch, and the mains plug must be pulled out.
Calibration
Calibrate the laser system before every treatment. This assures that the laser
system works faultlessly, the fibre-optic cable is intact and the applicator is
functional.
Maintenance
After 800 operating hours, the device shows the message "Recalibration!"
every time it is switched on to indicate that it is due for a technical inspection.
After confirming with the “OK” button, the laser can be operated for another
200 hours.
After another 200 operating hours, the device stops working for safety
reasons.
Please notify customer service at Zimmer Medizinsysteme once the first
message appears.
Regular maintenance of the laser unit is required to identify and possibly
eliminate damage and wear on the glass fibres and other optical components.
This ensures permanent safe operation of the device while preserving full
functionality.
Note:
Regular calibration does not influence the maintenance of the laser unit after
1000 operating hours.
Case / display /
applicator
Clean with standard alcohol-free plastic cleaner.
Disinfect using standard alcohol-free disinfectant suitable for plastics and
metal.
Output lens
The output lens must be inspected regularly for soiling.
Clean and disinfect with standard cleaning agents and disinfectants suitable
for optical systems.

There must be no residues of the cleaners and disinfectants left on the output
lens of the applicator. Soiling changes the optical properties of the output lens.
Note:
If flammable solutions are used for cleaning and disinfection, the laser must
not be used for about 10 minutes to allow the solutions to evaporate.
Otherwise residues may ignite.
