3.2 Installation conditions
The ZIGOR SOLAR XTR3 is a cabinet with IP54 protection and therefore it can be installed indoors and
outdoors. The unit must be mounted on a wall with the packing glands at the bottom. The unit must be
installed by ZIGOR personnel.
Due to its IP54 protection, the unit can be installed outdoors, but it is not submersible. In order to assure
the maximum service life of the unit, the installation must have the following characteristics:
The unit must be wall mounted.
The Inverter is heavy. Bear this in mind when choosing the location and the installation method.
Place the system on a plain, stable surface free of vibrations and of sufficient strength to bear the
weight of the unit.
Ensure the appropriate height to facilitate connections.
The location must be such that excess humidity and high level heat sources can be avoided.

Avoid direct rainfall.

Prevent direct exposure to the sun.

Avoid flood-prone areas.
Protection against atmospheric agents. Elements susceptible to electrical discharges.

Proximity to magnetic fields and high-power lamps must be avoided.
Do not expose to gases or corrosive products.
The PV Inverter and has been designed to be installed vertically on a wall as indicated in the following
drawing. Never install the PV Inverter horizontally or in such a way that it tilts forwards.

Install the inverter vertically
Never install the PV Inverter horizontally or tilted forward.
When choosing the location, ensure that there is sufficient space to allow heat dissipation. Under normal
operating conditions, the following guide must be applied in order to keep a free space around the
Inverter.
