* In order to connect the PV generator to the PV Inverter input and in order to determine the number of
panels required in the PV string (panels connected in series) refer to the following three points:
1.
To prevent any damage to the Inverter, ensure that the output of the PV generator and that the
maximum open circuit voltage (OCV) of each PV string are never in excess of 1000 VDC under any
circumstance because this situation would damage the PV Inverter.
2.
Do not exceed the maximum short-circuit current of the generator indicated in the ZIGOR SOLAR
XTR3 Inverter.
3.
In order to attain maximum generator performance, ensure that the voltage at maximum power
does not fall below 300VDC and that this does not exceed 800 VDC in accordance with most conditions.
SB:
The positioning of the photovoltaic connectors that are in Figure 3.9, does not represent all the
models of ZIGOR SOLAR XTR3, but however if it represents with better detail the physical difference
between the male connectors and females.
In order to wire the PV generator to the ZIGOR SOLAR XTR3 Inverter, follow these steps:
Step 1:
Check that the polarity of the PV generator connectors is correct and that these do not exceed
the maximum voltage of the string.
Step 2:
Connect the POSITIVE wire (+) from PV string no. 1 to the positive quick connect wire (+) of the
PV Inverter.
Step 3:
Connect the NEGATIVE wire (+) from PV string no. 1 to the negative quick connect wire (-) of
the PV Inverter.
Step 4:
If necessary, repeat step 2 and step 3 for the other PV strings. Ensure that the wires are placed
correctly.
