5 Electrical installation
You must comply with the safety instructions described in the chapter Electrical Installation of
the operating instructions R-TBA12_01!
5.1 Mains connection (X1)

Before connecting to the mains, check whether the technical data on the rating plate of the ZAdyn4CA
HY correspond to the required connection values.
5.1.1 Network form
The line
fi
lter and ZAdyn4CA HY are designed for use in an earthed power supply system. Permissible
network forms are:

TN network

TT network

The line
fi lter and ZAdyn4CA HY are unsuitable for use in the IT network!
5.1.2 Cable cross section
The line cross-section must be speci fi ed dependent on the motor ’ s rated current and the ambient
conditions (e.g. temperature, wiring method) in accordance with DIN VDE 0100.
5.1.3 Mains fuse
The size of the mains fuse must re fl ect the cable cross-section used and the ambient conditions.
Use the following maximum fuse sizes, depending on the frame size of the ZAdyn4CA HY:

5.1.4 Type of cable

Both rigid and fl exible lines can be utilized. The use of wire-end sleeves is recommended for fl exible
lines.

The mains line does not have to be shielded.
